Hot/cold, 2016

lithography

At the end of 2016, I performed 書き納め/Kakiosame (literally “last writing” in Japanese) based on our traditional event Kakizome at the beginning of a year.

Kakizome: "Traditionally, kakizome was performed using ink rubbed with the first water drawn from the well on New Year's Day. Seated facing a favourable direction, people would write Chinese poetry containing auspicious words and phrases such as long life, spring, or perennial youth. These poems were then often burned."-wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kakizome

あつい/さむい, 2016

 私は2016年の終わりに書き納めを行った。1枚目は屋外で1時間体を冷やしてから、2枚目は1時間のジョギング後にそれぞれその時の体温を記した。
