記念碑の記念碑をたてる, 2011

東日本大震災によって東京タワーの先端は曲がってしまった。私にはそれが突如出現した震災の記念碑のように思えた。それから私は東京タワーが修復される前に、それが記念碑であった体験を自身の中で持続させるため、様々な角度から観察して「記念碑の記念碑」を制作した。

Due to the east Japan earthquake in 2011, it was observed that the tip of Tokyo Tower was curved even though Tokyo was located far away from the epicenter. Then the tower looked as if a monument of the earthquake suddenly appeared. I made a monument of the monument while observing from a variety of angles in order to maintain the temporal situation before the restoration of the tip.
