15分間のパフォーマンス
Viviana Gulliとの共同パフォーマンス

 

行動をルールで制限することで、即興的なパフォーマンスの一つのシステムを作る実験をした。私たちは「会話はしない」「相手の目を見てはいけない」「逃げるが、追いかけなければいけない」といったルールに従い、ギャラリーで鬼ごっこのような遊びをした。相手を探すため、例えば観客の視線を追いかけたり、動線に物を配置して相手を誘導、自分の位置を知らせるために音を鳴らすといった、場と相手、自分の関係を常に意識した行為を繰り返した。

This performance was tried to see whether an artistic performance could be achieved just by following rules. At the performance, we chased each other like playing tag and kept a distance at the same time while following other rules; like we may not directly communicate with words or not look at our eyes. Therefore, the acts to orient ourselves were performed e.g. chasing after viewer’s eyes, putting objects in the room, or making sounds with them, and we expected that the certainty of the acts would lead site-specificity of our physical expression in this playing.
