I had been interested in the theatrical violence of Mexican professional wrestling Lucha Libre, that is a traditional sport/entertainment of Mexico. It was because I found a relation between the social situation and the popularization of Lucha Libre. In that background of its development, Mexican revolution occurred and it was getting popular with intensification of armed conflicts between the left wing and government in the whole of Mexico. Therefore, it seemed to me as if people at that time were projecting their feeling to the theatrical violence, basically, they had needed heroes, who could always defeat the enemies, to fight with the unjust society.
I focused on changing how they face with the theatrical violence that means a necessary evil today, and developed that into an appropriate activity for this era with wrestlers.
