Cinema Beauty Salon, 2009

performed with Keita Ueda
video 3'22''

I did a two-dimensional performance like the same situation where viewers watch its document video by letting them appreciate it only in mirrors at a beauty salon.
If performance of art has meaning to be appreciated on site or at a specified time, its document could be only a material which subsidiarily informs us the situation of site, or an individual medium which does not interfere the character of performance. Through this performance I tried to reduce the spatial and temporal gap of viewing between the actual performance and its document video to make a document which can maintain temporariness of performance in such cases.
