雑草の草刈りをしなくてもいいように、草木の育成を断つのではなく、在来の「雑草という状況」に秩序を与え、それを維持する研究を始めた。そして2022年7月から九ヶ月に亘り、名古屋市旧税関寮の庭に育つ雑草を剪定した。それら雑多な状況に調和する審美的な何かを探し、場と関連づけていくということを、その方法として実行した。

I began researching ways to give order to the existing "weedy situation" instead of simply cutting down the growth of weeds, so that we wouldn't need to weed. From July 2022, for nine months, I pruned the weeds growing in the garden of the former Minato Dormitory of Nagoya Custom. I executed this as a method of seeking something aesthetic that harmonizes with the diverse conditions of the weeds and relates to the space.
