突然昔の出来事を思い出す時に、記憶の時間の中を通り過ぎたかのような感覚になる。その原因がわからないまま、矢継ぎ早にどこか懐かしい余韻があったという今の状況が記憶を上書きしてしまう。どうやらそのせいで懐かしい過去の出来事よりも、思い出した瞬間の心地よさに感情は強く引っ張られることになる。
私は初めて訪れた町で、キジの鳴き声を聴いた時に、ある上書きされた懐かしさの記憶を思い出し、それが流れ込む時の心や体の配置や条件が何なのか探すことに没頭した。

 

 

When suddenly remembering past events, there's a sensation as if passing through the timeline of memories. Even without understanding the cause, the current situation, filled with a rapid succession of nostalgic echoes, tends to overwrite the memory. Somehow, this leads to emotions being strongly drawn to the pleasant feeling of the moment of recollection rather than the nostalgic past event itself.
In a town I visited for the first time, when I heard the cry of a pheasant, I recalled a memory overridden by nostalgia. I became engrossed in exploring the mental and physical conditions and circumstances that facilitate the flow of such overwritten nostalgia.
