パブリックアートらしきものが渋谷のホームレスを追い出す目的で、彼らの居住地に設置されていることを知った。それが象徴する芸術は社会において機能的だが、体感は真逆であった。
そこで有名絵画の模写を彼らの所持品と等価交換し、彼らの美術への表現の形と私の体感が重なるのか確かめてみた。

 

 

I got to know that public artworks are set up on places where homeless people of Shibuya are living in order to force them out of downtown. Therfore I wanted to verify how art should be in public space for our living.
In this project, I replicated famous paintings, traded them with their personal belongings and looked for a substitute for artwork which could embody the value of art.
